Are you so impressed with how quickly this blog post is going up? I hope so! I guess it's just a lot easier with a lot of really exciting things going on! Anyhow. Our week has been absolutely packed. We are up to so much every day, and the amount of things we have to do is almost overwhelming. I feel like I could come to London alone a hundred times and still have more things to do and explore. Class is going well, I feel almost overwhelmed with how much I am learning and have yet to learn. We've gone headfirst into art history, basic civilization and touched on basic English history/current politics. I'm absolutely loving it! I never thought I would be interested in some of this stuff but our teachers are just SO excited about the subjects they teach and they make it really easy to get excited about all of these subjects.
Among the exciting things we have done recently...
1. Big Ben and the National Gallery
We got to go and visit the National Gallery and see some really amazing works of art! From all the periods from the Renaissance to Baroque to Rococo and 19th century etc. There were even a few original Monet paintings there that were on loan from a museum in France. Then we got to go and walk down Whitehall road and see the houses of parliament and Big Ben, and afterwards we went and rode the London Eye (a big big ferris wheel). The view was AMAZING!!! Pictures below!
Some examples of artwork we looked at
The archway that leads to Buckingham Palace!
Right outside of Trafalgar Square, one of the hubs of the city with tons of street performers and musicians, chalk artists and the like.
Big Ben! :) (and the houses of Parliament)
Some pictures from the London Eye
Small cameo of Big Ben
My study abroad girls Karie and Kaity!
2. Tower of London and London Bridge
SO much history! Especially about the Tudors, which is a weird obsession of mine. So I totally loved that! We spent most of the day there taking tours, and learning a ton. Then we stopped quickly to take some pictures with Tower bridge (London Bridge is in Arizona). Then it started to rain and hail, so we went inside!
London Bridge
Julius Ceasar
The Tower from the sidewalk!
The death place of Henry the 8th!

Just a girl abroad and her friends!
3. Last but not least....brunch and BROADWAY!
We went and got some discounted tickets to Wicked Saturday morning and then had brunch afterwards. Pretty much....the best day ever!
Our adorable Brunch!
BROADWAY! Life seriously doesn't get better!
Bonus pictures for paying attention so long! The Sunday flower market on our way to church..and my life in a meme.
Love you all! Until next time <3
