Other than preparing for my european adventures, I've been passing time at work, which becomes increasingly amazing. They have been SO wonderful about working with me and this study abroad program. They're going to safe my place and give me somewhere to come back to once I return, and they want to start working on getting me training for a Customer Service Representative (CSR) position when I get back. I'm super looking forward to that and the opportunity to move up and take on some more responsibilities like opening up new accounts and such.
I also have been trying to maintain an interest in school. Which is proving to be much easier said than done. So I try to stay up on that, and I've also picked up a new piano class that I take online...which is interesting haha But it fits quite well with my schedule which is nice :)
The Humane Society has also become somewhat of a haven for me. I have found that I actually feel quite passionately about animal rights, and I really have a soft spot for the animals we work with. I've also decided I want to start looking for my own place once I get back from London so that I can start fostering animals. They have a lot of puppies and kittens that come to the shelter and are too small to stay there and get their vaccinations, so they need places to be a foster home until they are big enough to come to the shelter and be adopted. So I think that's my next big life endeavor post-London.
I've also been down today with the stomach flu...so sorry if this post seems loopy! :)
Well! That's pretty much all the new stuff! I'll end with a few pictures of fun things that I've been up to (including tattoo #2) and then I shall say adieu!
I have been spending some time babysitting as of late, and have really come to adore these kids and spending time with them. They're just so much fun (and well behaved...which is a plus)!
Tattoo No.2! I still have words to get done soon which will say "Not all who wander are lost". And the compass and the anchor go to represent searching for direction and maintaining hope (hope is the anchor of the soul) and finding stability and peace even in the roughest of times when we feel like we're wandering.
We also had a big fancy party for the Oscars! We got all dressed up and had a red carpet, and celebrated with delicious food! Stephanie is always the perfect hostess and we all had a major blast!
Last but not least, I got to take some pictures at temple square AND at our Oscars party, so there are also two updates to the photography blog! Check it out when you have a minute :) kandidphotographybykendra.blogspot.com
