Thank you for your patience! Life has been quite crazy....as per usual! Since last time there are a few new things going on in life!
1. I got my first tattoo! I know...not very conventional Mormon...but try not to judge me too hard. There's three elements to it: A semicolon, an arrow, and the word "Enough". The Semicolon in English is used when a sentence should stop, but keeps going, and stands as a reminder that when we want to stop that we press forward anyways. "An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. When life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means it's going to launch you into something great", another remind that setbacks help us to grow, not to stop. And the word "Enough" is a remind that you (I) are (am) always enough; no matter what the world might say. So! There you are!
2. I have signed up to volunteer at the Humane Society! I'm part-way through the orientation-mentoring process and soon will be able to just drop in whenever I want! I've found I am actually quite passionate about animals, and I'm excited to get involved and see what I can do to help. My eventual goal will be to foster animals. They have a huge need for it and are ALWAYS short on homes for these poor little animals. So I'm excited to get in and help!
3. A possible trip to India has entered the picture! My Aunt Heather and Uncle Ty are living out in Mumbai on business, and it seems like a once in a lifetime opportunity to get out and see them before they move back to the states. So...stay tuned on that one! We're mostly waiting to see if I can get the extra time off of work. It might just end up being the summer of travel!
So those are the big new things! The next 6 weeks are going to be some crazy hard planning for London. I've got to get my flights booked, and ready to go! So that makes things pretty real. So far, the plan is to see Ireland and Scotland while in my program, and to see some of Italy in the week I have in Europe after my program gets out. Then I'm considering taking a light semester of online classes, and then getting back into the full swing of things in the fall! I may also be transferring schools...again, so a more local commuter school. But nothing is final yet! We'll see!
I've had a few bad weeks of headaches, but I've got some contact info for a chiropractor that should be able to help. I'm also trying to get more into photography. First because a large part of my research in London will be centered around old photographs and taking new photographs. Second, because I really love being behind the camera. So I've started a page called "Kandid Photography" to start building a portfolio of my work! So check out the two posts up there when you have time! http://kandidphotographybykendra.blogspot.com/
Alright! I'll end with a few pictures!
Baby Max seems to grow exponentially every time I go to visit!
Danielle and I got to enjoy a fun night out at the Symphony, where they did a show to honor 75 years of Broadway. It was amazing! Broadway, Symphony, and Danielle! All of my favorite things.
